Summary

Kirsty's is a core member of the Lab4Living team with responsibility for communications and events. She is Assistant Editor and co-founder of the journal Design For Health (published by Taylor & Francis), and organizer of the Design4Health conferences and associated events and symposia since 2011.

Her role within the Art & Design Research Centre is to offer organisational and practical support to academic staff disseminating their work outside the conventional peer reviewed publication networks. This currently involves supporting staff in setting up research-related exhibitions and events, and exploring new channels for the dissemination of news and research. Kirsty is also Editorial Assistant of The Design Journal.

About

Recent work has included developing and organising the 2013 and 2011 European Design4Health conferences and Fine Art conference Transmission: HOSPITALITY in 2010. She has worked on a collaborative project with Design staff from ADRC and China Central Academy for Fine Arts which showcased design projects in the recent publication Designing Impact! Approaches to Applied Research.

Kirsty also developed ADIT, a searchable online database of PhD theses in Art and Design: www3.shu.ac.uk/c3ri/adit/
