About
I started my career as a Physical Education teacher at various schools throughout Yorkshire. I have always enjoyed working with and supporting newly qualified teachers, which influenced my decision to make the move into Higher Education.
I have a strong interest in the role of Academic Professional Advisor and am currently undertaking a qualification in Academic and Personal tutoring. I am also a pedagogical mentor for a Graduate Training Assistant.
I also have a strong interest in Sport Psychology having completed an MSc in Applied Sport Psychology. I am currently combining my two areas of interest through my PhD research which investigates Fear of Failure in Physical Education and its impact on engagement and motivation.
