Summary
I have worked at Sheffield Hallam for sixteen years, and I teach across all levels of the BSc Computing route. My main area of expertise is IT Service Management (based around the ITIL Framework), and I am certified in ITIL at Foundation and Intermediate level. I am also the co-ordinator for Final Year Computing Projects. I have a BSc Mathematics with Computing from the University of Bath (1989), and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Warwick (2005). I am a Chartered Mathematician with the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
My industrial experience includes working as a software engineer, before moving into front- line IT support for a variety of financial institutions in the City of London, and as an IT consultant, specialising in designing and implementing highly available IT solutions.
