Senior Lecturer in Environmental Science and Physical Geography


Formerly with Institute of Geological Sciences (now British Geological Survey), UK Atomic Energy Authority, University of Exeter, Camborne School of Mines, EU nuclear waste / seismic hazard research programmes and in private practice before joining Sheffield Hallam University in 2005.


Teaching interests

Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physical Geography, Environmental Management


Main interests include: the natural radiation environment, solid, hazardous and nuclear waste management, environmental impacts of mining, contaminated land assessment and remediation, geothermal energy, geological hazard mitigation and related areas.
