Neil is a joint course leader for BSc (Hons) Building Surveying degree. Neil is a Chartered Building Surveyor and a member of the Association of Project Managers. He spent over 20 years as a Building Surveyor working mainly in the public sector, working with clients from Councils and schools, to social housing and the NHS. Neil is also an associate assessor for the RICS.
During Neil's considerable time in the construction industry, he has worked in a variety of Building Surveying roles, from condition surveys, to estate strategy planning, and spent a number of years specialising in Project Management and Contract Administration.
As a Senior Lecturer within the Department of the Natural and Built Environment Neil teaches predominantly building surveying subjects to both undergraduate and postgraduate students on RICS accredited courses.
I teach across all levels in the Department of the Natural and Built Environment, with whilst being joint course leader on the Building Surveying courses.
I teach on modules across all levels and years.
As well as carrying out Associate Assessments for the RICS, Neil also is an active member of the Built Environment Employer Advisory Board where he looks to continually update and improve the course in line with current industry needs.
