Pascale Vacher

Subject Group Leader for Games & Intelligent Systems

About

I was educated in France, graduating in Psychology before transferring to Computing through my interest in AI. I joined Sheffield Hallam University after working on a joint research project with Bordeaux University and graduated in European Business Information Technology. I also received a DEST in Informatique from Bordeaux University. I have an interest and expertise in the field of programming, looking more specifically at Object Orientated programming and programming for games.

I now specialise in teaching programming, especially C++, to students of the Game Software Development, Computing Science and Software Engineering courses, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In my role as Programme Leader for the Software Engineering, Graphics and Multimedia group I coordinate activities related to the organisation and development of the Technical Computing courses and work in collaboration with the Subject Group Leader and relevant Course Leaders to ensure the students on these courses have the best possible academic experience during their time at Hallam.
