I am a former Police Superintendent with experience of working in three Home Office Police Forces, as well as the Metropolitan Police in London, Derbyshire Constabulary and the Royal Ulster Constabulary (now PSNI).
I have worked in a wide variety of roles in both uniform and plain clothes including the command of public order, firearm and critical incidents, hostage negotiation and as a senior investigating officer for both crime and road deaths.
I am currently undertaking the preparation of a number of police related degree programmes and lecture on a number of criminology modules.
I am currently in the process of writing a number of police related programmes for the University.
I also teach on the Criminal Justice and Policing and Crime Prevention modules.
