About
I joined Sheffield Hallam as an Associate Lecturer in January 2019, having previously worked as a Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University and Programme Manager at Leeds City College. I began teaching in January 2012 and have enjoyed teaching on a range of law, criminology and criminal justice based modules. Prior to teaching, I spent some time working within the criminal justice system - firstly on a Drugs Intervention Programme and then as part of the Youth Offending Service. My research interests lie broadly within feminist criminology with a particular interest in experiences of incarceration. My current PhD research explores trust and staff-prisoner relationships in a women's open prison. I am on the Board of Trustees for the national charity Transform Justice. I am also a member of the British Society of Criminology.
