Summary
Steph has worked as senior administrator within HSCR since 2006 and is PA to the Director of HSCR as well as project administrator on a number of HSCR projects including the Newton Researcher Links Workshop on Maternal Health. Steph is administrator to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) for UoA3, one of the University's largest units of assessment. Steph is responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for the Director of HSCR and its 6 professors. Other duties include departmental committee servicing and record keeping, including HSCR sickness returns and financial administration, including raising purchase orders, processing payments for casual researchers and adding bids to Converis software in Susan Dodd's absence. Steph also hold a procurement card for HSCR and is responsible for submitting monthly reconciliations.
Steph has previously acted as PA to the Assistant Dean Research and Innovation within the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing at Sheffield Hallam University. Steph worked in private industry for many years, mainly in office manager roles, prior to joining first Sheffield University then transferring to Sheffield Hallam University. Steph has a first degree in French Language and Literature with Spanish from a Russell Group University as well as a postgraduate diploma in bilingual business administration.
