    Hallam turns lights out for WWF Earth Hour, including a long-term change

    The University took part in the WWF's Earth Hour on the 24th March at 8:30pm. We were the largest organisation in Sheffield that participated in the event, joining millions of people and organisations across the world that took part in the event.

    Driving towards a sustainable fleet

    To support its functions across a large and growing estate, the University manages a fleet of 26 leased vans, a car and grounds vehicles. Demonstrating our commitment to reducing environmental impacts the University uses various methods to ensure we run our vehicles as cleanly and efficiently as possible.

    Engaging with our students

    The National Union of Students (NUS) recognises that sustainability can and should be embedded into any curriculum. To that end the sustainability team have been working with academics from a variety of departments to ensure sustainability is an integral part of the University curriculum.
