The Enterprise Awards Dinner is when the winner of the Enterprise Challenge competition is announced.

The Enterprise Challenge competition is our annual business start-up competition whereby students or graduates up to 5 years after graduation enter online in February simply with their idea. Through a programme of support we invite everyone who enters to submit a business summary which is then marked by a panel of judges. The summaries with the top marks are then invited to write a business plan and we set up a series of workshops to help them do this. The business plans are then marked by the same judges and those with the top marks at this stage (around 5 businesses) are invited to present to the judges.

The winner of the £5000 top prize is announced at the Enterprise Awards Dinner and there is also a 2nd prize. Each finalist also gets a cash prize towards their business and on the night each finalist does a pitch to the audience who then get to vote for their winner, of which there is a 1st and 2nd prize again.
