Over 4,000 alumni took part in the survey and we wanted to say a huge thank you for staying in touch. We will use the survey results to shape our programmes of work and events. This may include ways in which the University can support your career and your organisation or how you can enhance the student experience through volunteering.

What did you tell us?

A high proportion of you (8.5/10) told us you were proud to be Sheffield Hallam alumni and (7.3/10) of you think the University has a positive impact in the world.

Many of you were interested in future volunteering opportunities (57%), such as guest speaking or delivering a masterclass.  Alumni volunteers enhance the student experience by sharing their expertise and industry insight. Over the next year, we will be working with Colleges across the University to shape our volunteering programmes and bring you opportunities to get involved.

Over 1000 of you would like to help mentor our students, which is a fantastic response, and 700 alumni are willing to provide work experience opportunities for our students. These results are amazing and demonstrate the power of our alumni community.

What next?

Over the next few months, we will be analysing your feedback and responding to those who expressed an interest in volunteering or finding out more about our programmes of work.
