Taking your first steps into a career following your studies can be a daunting task, which is why we’ve developed a targeted, personalised and enhanced two-year employability and enterprise support offer for newly graduated Sheffield Hallam alumni. With GradVantage, you can get access expert 1:1 coaching, interview techniques, webinars, graduate job opportunities and more.

Expert 1:1 coaching appointments
Through the programme you can book up to three appointments with your employability adviser in person, by phone or via Skype or FaceTime. These appointments can last anything from 30 to 60 minutes and you can discuss almost anything career-related, from your potential career options, to job searching and improving your CV. We can even organise practice interviews with constructive expert feedback.

LinkedIn Learning
As a Class of 2019 graduate you have been invited to use free LinkedIn Learning resources. LinkedIn Learning enables you to explore thousands of business, tech, and creative courses to develop the skills you need to develop your career.

It will let you know the most in-demand skills based on your experience, allow you to access on-demand courses from your computer or mobile device - anytime, anywhere, and provide you with opportunities to practice with quizzes, exercise files and coding windows.

The Hallam Internship scheme – apply by 15th December 2019
The scheme supports 2019 Graduates to undertake 120 hours work experience, with a local business, and pays the graduate £1200 in the form of a University Bursary. Graduates must have the right to work in the UK and be available to complete a 120 hour internship before 1st March 2020.

Webinars
The University offers a series of interactive online sessions on a range of employability topics from making effective careers decisions and using LinkedIn effectively, to using recruitment agencies and demystifying the graduate job hunt.
