Are you a former Sheffield Hallam student living abroad? Have you used your Hallam experience to positively impact your community, profession, or country? Do you want to raise your international profile, build your professional networks and business connections, and win a trip to the UK?
If your answers to the above questions are yes, then you should seriously consider entering the British Council’s Study UK Alumni Awards 2019-20.
Award winners and finalists are leaders in their fields who have used their experience of studying at a UK university to make a positive contribution to their communities, professions and countries.
As well as winning a trip to the UK and the opportunity to reconnect with their UK university, previous award winners and finalists have benefited from increased international profiles and PR opportunities, built their professional networks and made valuable business connections.
There are three award categories:
Professional Achievement Award – recognising alumni who have distinguished themselves through exemplary leadership and achievements in their professional industry, and who can demonstrate the impact and scale of their achievements in their profession, and beyond.
Entrepreneurial Award – recognising alumni who are active in initiating or contributing to innovative or creative new ideas, solutions or business opportunities, that have the potential for strong growth.
Social Impact Award – recognising alumni who have made an exceptional contribution and commitment to creating positive social change and improving the lives of others.
Sheffield Hallam University has had previous success in the awards, including last year which saw class of 2017 Paediatric Neurodisability alumna, Omnia El Rashidy, win the Entrepreneurial Award in recognition of her incredible neurodisability work in Egypt.
At Hallam, we’re proud to have a diverse, international alumni community of over 245,000 alumni based in 130 countries who are all making a global impact.
If, like Omnia, you have used your experiences of studying at Sheffield Hallam to positively impact your community, profession, or country, be sure to enter before applications and nominations close on 28th October 2019.
