The Hallam Fund welcomes over 100 new alumni donors

Tuesday 27 April 2021

ThHallam Fund telephone campaign this year was run off-campus with the help of around 30 passionate student ambassadors who brought in their authentic student voice, their experience of studying at Sheffield Hallam, and creativity to the role.

The student ambassadors spoke with over 1000 alumni about their time at Sheffield Hallam and their journey since. For students like Sadaf, hearing about the successes of alumni who have walked the same paths as them, inspired them to confidently take the next steps in their careers.

Sadaf said, ‘Being part of the Hallam Fund was an enjoyable and insightful experience. It helped me to develop many of my skills whilst working for a good cause. What I liked most was conversing with alumni doing different things in life, securing donations to help make a difference, and working as part of a team.

The students also welcomed over 100 alumni to our compassionate donor communityAs the UK’s largest provider of access to higher education for students from unrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds, we are committed to giving access to education and upholding fairness for all students who want to better their life prospects through higher educationGenerous donations from alumni enable our most vulnerable students to access further student hardship support and life-transforming scholarships so that they can focus on their studies.
