    Pride, Respect, Fair play and Sportsmanship

    This year marks the 21st anniversary of Sheffield Varsity. From its small beginnings in 1997, the annual sporting competition between Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield has grown to be one of the largest varsity tournaments in the UK.

    Researchers providing revolutionary breast cancer care

    Academics at Sheffield Hallam University are working with a lingerie company and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide a new specially designed bra for some women undergoing breast radiotherapy, which they hope will improve accuracy of treatment and also help patients maintain dignity during radiotherapy.

    Business studies graduate, Lewis Bowen, founded Air Global in response to the millions of deaths that occur annually from indoor air pollution caused by fuels such as paraffin, wood and kerosene.

    Trophy triumph for Hallam graduate

    Fine art and PGCE graduate, Hannah Duraid, made use of Sheffield Hallam University's alumni offer of self-employment support to help get her business idea off the ground. The Great Escape Game has gone from strength to strength and now has expanded to a second premises in Leeds.

    Hallam student is saving Dory

    Carl Goodman is a BSc (Hons) Geography student at Sheffield Hallam. He was awarded £1,000 from the Sir Michael & Lady Morven Heller Bursary in 2015 to help him improve the state of the world's seas and oceans.

    Graduate receives scholarship to research guidance for cancer patients

    Radiotherapy and Oncology graduate Sarah Smith has received the Vice Chancellor's PhD scholarship to research guidance for cancer patients. She is working in Sheffield Hallam's Art and Design Research Centre to create new ways of providing information to those recovering from breast cancer.
