Sheffield Hallam alumni community

Once you have completed your studies with Sheffield Hallam, we recognise that you are at one of the most important watershed moments in your life.  Well done on all the hard work which has got you this far.

Your connection to the University in the future will take many different forms. We want to let you know that the Sheffield Hallam connection is with you for life – through the people you have met, the subject area you have mastered and the skills you have developed.

With over 250,000 alumni across the world, you join a supportive community of Sheffield Hallam alumni who continue to engage and who are fantastic advocates for this University. Throughout your studies alumni have already played an important role in helping shape your experience through career talks, mentoring, course development and sourcing placements and work experience opportunities for students. Alumni from your course continue to give back their time and inspire the next generation and also form a professional network who continue to connect and support each other beyond graduation.

But what does the term alumni mean?

The term is widely used by universities to refer to former students who successfully complete their studies with the University. When you receive your result from the University you will technically become a member of the alumni community. Through the Development and Alumni Relations Office, the University continues to keep in touch with alumni to support them with the next stage of their career. Your ongoing relationship with the University may evolve over time and as you progress in your career you may wish to come back and volunteer your time to help the next generation of students or donate to support the University’s charitable objectives.

As you navigate the early stages of your career, we look forward to opening up the Sheffield Hallam alumni community to you and encouraging you to make the most of the programmes on offer.
