Our careers fairs

Sheffield Hallam University welcomes companies to attend our careers fairs.

Students are invited to attend the fairs, giving you an excellent opportunity to engage with talented students and raise the profile of your organisation at a key time in the recruitment calendar.

They are open to and attended by all level of students, however they are aimed at specific groups. We anticipate 600–1,000 students will attend each one.

At these fairs you will be able to offer opportunities to our students such as part-time work, internships, placements or graduate jobs.

2019 events

  • GoGlobal Fair
    Wednesday 6 February

    Time: 11am–2pm

    Location: City Campus

    Description: Students will attend to meet a mix of employers offering jobs across the globe, overseas volunteering organisations and get advice from Sheffield Hallam students with global work experience. This fair is aimed at students from all courses and faculties.

  • Work While You Study Fair
    Thursday 14 February

    Time: 11am–2pm

    Location: Careers Connect, City Campus

    Description: The Work While You Study Fairs are aimed at employers looking to recruit paid, part-time staff. Students in attendance will be looking for flexible work to fit alongside their studies. This fair is aimed at students from all courses and faculties.

  • STACK 2019
    Wednesday 27 February

    Time: 11am–3pm

    Location: Cantor Building, City Campus

    Description: STACK is a fair held for students from the Department of Computing which incorporates industry-led workshops along with employer stands to promote opportunities for internships, placements and graduate roles.

  • Pathways
    Wednesday 6 March

    Time: 12 noon–3pm

    Location: Cantor Building, City Campus

    Description: Pathways is Sheffield Hallam University's Creative Media Fair. Organised by the Department of Media, Arts and Communication, Pathways is now in its 7th year and is an opportunity for our students in journalism, animation, digital media and film production, games design, photography and public relations to discuss current trends and employment opportunities with industry figures.

Spotlight On is a series of industry-specific events. Meet with students from various degree disciplines, interested in working in your industry.

Promote your vacancies for free

For graduate, part-time, temporary and internship vacancies, register for our vacancy advertising service.

If you can offer an undergraduate placement, email and we will send them to the relevant faculty.

Deliver presentations or workshops

You can target students by delivering presentations or workshops in our Careers and Employability Centre during term time. Demand is high in the autumn term so early booking is advisable. Please email to find out more.
