Sheffield Innovation Programme
We can help you realise your great ideas by working with you to develop solutions, resolve problems, or refine new products.
The Sheffield Innovation Programme allows small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) from across the region to access academic expertise, facilities and resources to support and develop business growth.
Academic experts with a range of skills and knowledge will work collaboratively with your business to understand and recommend ways forward, deliver innovation support and forge productive partnerships.
The programme offers an initial 2-5 days of academic time to work with you to understand your business and recommend appropriate ways forward.
We're also running a series of funded industry focussed workshops - keep checking our events page to find out when these are.
The expertise from Sheffield Hallam University involved in the Sheffield Innovation Programme is wide ranging and includes packaging design, advanced manufacturing, sports engineering, robotics and materials engineering.
We have worked with businesses on projects including
- increasing the energy efficiency of production processes
- introducing lean manufacturing processes
- improving food storage to reduce preservative levels
- spectroscopic analysis of materials
The programme is delivered in partnership with the University of Sheffield, and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, as part of the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub.
