Childhood studies courses

Our childhood studies courses prepare you for a range of rewarding careers, including education, playwork, language teaching and youth and social work. You'll learn from published experts in the field and benefit from a high standard of teaching – courses taught by the Department of Education, Childhood and Inclusion are consistently rated 'excellent' by final year students in the National Student Survey.

Your degree programme will cover topics such as play, education, policy, youth justice and inclusion, with accredited work-related learning throughout. You'll also have the chance to examine childhood in global contexts, and have opportunities for overseas work experience – the department has partnerships all over the world, including Malaysia, Thailand and Ghana.
