This course is based around the final year of the Business and Marketing degree. You'll top up your qualifications while learning the skills you need to excel. You'll graduate ready to enter an exciting career.
How you learn
In this course, you'll learn to consider business and marketing from the outside in: closely examining consumer choice and how you can innovate to stand out. You'll attain the knowledge you need for entrepreneurial, global, customer-led and market-driven business practice, and apply it readily through hands-on exposure to marketing techniques. You'll benefit from expert tutelage and a course emphasis on employability.

Throughout the course, you'll be expected to apply your knowledge to real-world situations. You'll take part in business simulations, have the opportunity to undertake voluntary and part-time work for academic credits, and will produce a fully-fledged product development proposal.
Sheffield Hallam's Marketing Student Society, of which you will become an automatic member, is one of the few such societies in the country to have links to the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Applicants normally need one of the following:
• a foundation degree, HND or equivalent qualification in business, with an overall merit profile from year two modules. Your qualification should include relevant marketing-related content in year one and year two.
• 120 year one and 120 year two credits, with an overall mark of 55 per cent or above, from a relevant business degree or equivalent. Your qualification should include relevant marketing-related content in year one and year two.
Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 at the point of enrolment.
