Course summary

  • Study a range of practical modules which are not limited to one single academic specialism, but explicitly emphasise links to other areas.

The business environment is constantly changing, and leaders need to develop and exhibit the core characteristics of innovation and creativity, agility, open mindedness and a challenging mind-set. This course focuses on business planning and growth, stakeholders, the political and the natural environment, innovation and change.

How you learn

Modules are run in pairs of two-day workshops, with a series of linked assessment tasks. For you this represents a significant saving of time away from the workplace, giving you a flexible approach to learning whilst gaining an academic qualification. All modules on the programme are either 30 or 60 master's level credits with a portfolio assessment method.

Work placements

The course is aimed at people who are looking to accelerate their career. Generally you will be employed and may be sponsored by your employer. We anticipate most will come to the programme with significant levels of work experience and be established professionals from diverse backgrounds. With the workplace being the site of learning, the programme assessments will focus on organisational analysis case studies, delivering positive organisational impact.

Entry requirements

All students

Equivalent of an Honours degree at 2:2 level or above - with no specific subject requirements.

You also need a minimum of two years managerial /leadership experience (and typically approximately five years of work experience) and be in either a management and/or leadership role.

IELTS 6.5 or equivalent for non-native speakers of English (minimum 6.0 in each element).

Additional information for EU/International students

This course is not open to international students who require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK. If you are an international applicant but do not require a Tier 4 (General) student visa, contact our Admissions Team to find out whether you’re eligible to apply.
