If you hold an HND or equivalent qualification in computing from outside the UK, this course offers you the opportunity to develop your skills and gain an honours degree through one year of full-time study.

Entry requirements

All students

BTEC HND courses in a Computing discipline that contains programming (9 modules at merit or above) or SQA HND courses in a Computing discipline that contains programming (Grade "B" or above in all modules) or equivalent qualifications.

English language equivalent to overall IELTS 6.0 (No less than 5.5 in each area). Applicants with a lower score must successfully complete and English pre-sessional course at SHU.

This course is specifically for students whose entry qualifications were studied at an overseas institution, or in an overseas context - for example by Distance Learning from a UK institution while resident overseas.

Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 at the point of enrolment.
