Live projects
You’ll have the opportunity to visit real sites to learn aspects of the business from real estate professionals with many years of industry experience. We also offer chances to get involved in projects which study some of the larger developments in the Sheffield City Region. These will give you a real life insight into many aspects of real estate development and management.
Networking opportunities
Our Business Property Management students often progress to study at masters level in a number of UK universities. Some of them will return as guest speakers to offer you a student’s view of study at master level in the UK – and also share their experiences of both study and work.
With former students now working within major international real estate businesses as well as other international companies, they’re also a great resource to help you to further your career.

We do much of our teaching in small groups where you can work as a team in our smaller teaching rooms and exchange ideas. Sometimes you will also visit buildings or construction sites to learn in a practical context. We also make use of new property developments within the Sheffield Hallam Campus as a focus for study.
You will also work with a wide range of digital resources which are used by industry professionals when appraising or managing real estate. This includes industry-standard software used in property valuation and financial appraisals and access to key property information databases.
