How you learn

This course is taught in a professional studio setting, helping you gain industry standard skills.

Live projects are a key part of the course, giving you the chance to network with industry and produce distinctive immersive arts products to a professional standard. There is often the opportunity for this work to be published and exhibited, helping to strengthen your portfolio.
You benefit from a programme of guest speakers and networking events throughout the year. The Media Arts and Communications Pathways event brings together industry professionals from a wide range of areas in the creative sector. This means you can gain insight into current industry practice and make connections with industry and arts organisations. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with established digital arts festivals and events, arts venues and galleries.

You study at City Campus through a structured mix of lectures, seminars and practical sessions as well as access to digital and online resources to support your learning.

Media, Arts and Communications Facilities Tour

Normally an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above, in a related field. If English is not your first language, you will need an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills, or equivalent.

Fees and funding
Our tuition fee for UK students starting full-time study in 2022/23 is £9,620 for the course. For part-time study the fee will be calculated pro-rata each year based on the number of credits studied.
