This top-up course works closely with leading experiential marketing agency TRO. You’ll gain a sound understanding of events management, and prepare for a career in the more specific role as an experiential marketing professional. Throughout the year, you’ll develop a multitude of skills which will enable your success in an event-based career.

Course leaders and tutors
As this is a top-up route, there is not a placement opportunity with this course. However there are still a number of applied learning initiatives.
You have access to work experience opportunities across various event sectors (including the experiential marketing and wider events/marketing sectors), available from an online portal updated in real-time with roles ranging from local charity events to international festivals in Europe.
As part of this course, you will undertake a large real-world project worth 40 credits to deliver an Experiential Marketing based event in Sheffield.
You will have the autonomy to create, market and deliver the event, supported by experienced tutors.
Additional to the Live Experiential Event module you will be using real-world case studies and examples in class whilst also working alongside experiential marketing agency TRO in a number of modules.
Our links with industry mean that you hear from a wide range of guest speakers.

Where will I study?
You study at City Campus through a structured mix of online lessons and face-to-face teaching with access to digital and online resources to support your learning.
City Campus is located in the heart of Sheffield, within minutes of the train and bus stations.

HND or foundation degree in a relevant subject, with an overall merit profile from year two modules.
If English is not your first language you need an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill.
Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 at the point of enrolment.

Our tuition fee for UK students starting full-time undergraduate study in 2021/22 is £9,250 per year.

Our tuition fee for International/EU students starting full-time study in 2021/22 is £13,995 per year. During your placement year you will pay a reduced fee of £1,200.
