This course is designed to give you an in-depth understanding of the continuously evolving and fast-paced digital marketing world, including mobile and social media. By the end of your degree, you will have the skills to research and devise effective marketing strategies, based on a sound understanding of digital devices, platforms, media, data and technology. This understanding is underpinned by a solid marketing foundation.

Your lecturer's view
In your first year you will take modules that will give you a firm grasp of the foundations of marketing principles and research. In your second year you will firmly embrace the strategic knowledge that will set you apart when it comes to seek your placement experience. In your final year, you will expand your knowledge and stretch your understanding in areas such as strategic brand management and marketing innovation.

You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This is typically 48 weeks long and gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Due to our strong relationships with regional, national and international employers, we can help you to secure a great placement opportunity and support you while you are there. Previous marketing students have gained placements at companies such as IBM, Adidas, Marks & Spencer and Disney.
Throughout your studies will be actively learning through exploring and evaluating real life organisations. In some of these instances, you will select the organisation yourself but in others your tutors will bring the real world into your classroom

GCSEs Maths at grade D or 3 and English Language or Literature grade D or 3.
80 UCAS points, including 48 points from two A levels, or equivalent, or an alternative qualification such as an Access course.
Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 at the point of enrolment.

Fees and funding
Our tuition fee for UK/EU students starting full-time undergraduate study in 2019/20 is £9,250 per year. During your placement year you will pay a reduced fee of £1,200.
† If you are studying an undergraduate course, postgraduate pre-registration course or postgraduate research course over more than one academic year then your tuition fees may increase in subsequent years in line with Government regulations or UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) published fees.
