Looking for jobs
Whether you are looking for a part-time job while you study, graduate vacancies, internships or work experience opportunities, we can help.
Searching for vacancies
Our Jobs and Events Database, UniHub, advertises thousands of vacancies. All our students and recent graduates can search it for the opportunities below.
On-campus jobs for students
Our Campus Jobs scheme enables you to work for the University part-time, giving you valuable experience while you earn money. Because the jobs are on campus you don't need to travel far, making it easy to fit work around your lectures and seminars.
Part-time work off campus for students
We advertise hundreds of part-time vacancies from a wide range of organisations. We also invite employers to promote part-time vacancies at our annual the Work While you Study Fair and at other recruitment events throughout the year.
Graduate jobs and internships
Internships for current students
You can use the jobs and events database on Careers Central to search for internship opportunities in the UK and overseas.
If you want to work overseas, you can find helpful information on
- the overseas work section on Careers Central
- GoinGlobal - the worldwide careers and employment resource for students
Networking to build contacts
Networking can help you seek out 'hidden' job opportunities that haven't been advertised. Good places to start include
- our Career Mentoring Scheme which puts students in contact with a professional from an organisation or job role that interests you
- professional and social media networks such as LinkedIn
- sending speculative letters to employers along with your CV
Recruitment fairs and sector specific events
We run a programme of recruitment fairs and sector-specific events where you can meet employers and discover job opportunities. Visit UniHub for details. You can also find out about events run on-campus.
