International Business in Portugal

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore international business at the University of Porto in Portugal. Highlights of the trip include: 

  • Campus tour of the University of Porto
  • Guest lecture
  • Interaction with students from the University
  • Industry and local entrepreneur visit in Porto
  • Visit to historical and heritage sites
  • Active reflection

There is GoGlobal funding available for up to 15 students.

Who is eligible to apply?

Students on the following courses:

  • MSc International Business
  • MSc International Entrepreneurship
  • MSc International Business and Marketing
  • MSc International Business and Human Resource Management

Travel and accommodation

All travel and accommodation will be booked by the University and insurance (minus personal belonging) will be covered. Students will be responsible for their own meals and covering entrance costs to selected cultural and heritage sites.

Visa & vaccinations

Please check the UK Gov foreign travel advice for Portugal

It is the responsibility of the each student to have a full and up to date passport.

All non-EU/international students will require a Schengen visa and will need to pay for this independently.

Estimated total cost of trip per student

Estimated total cost - £500
Student contribution - £150
GoGlobal Fund - £350

Breakdown of estimated costs:

The above estimated cost covers accommodation and flights. Visas, Cultural activities, transport for sightseeing, food and drink [5 days] will need to be covered by each student.

Once your individual application has been approved by the GoGlobal Fund panel, you will be required to pay a non-refundable student contribution by the following deadline:

  • £150 to be paid by Wednesday 15 January 2020

There is GoGlobal funding available for up to 15 students. Please read the GoGlobal Fund Guidance carefully and note that you are only permitted one GoGlobal grant per academic year.
