Arrivals weekend road closures September 2018

The roads around Sheffield will be busy on arrivals weekend, 22 and 23 September 2018 as new and returning students arrive in Sheffield.
In addition there are two large scale events that will be affecting roads in the centre of Sheffield.
Saturday 22 September - Sheffield United Football Club v Preston North End
Sheffield United will be playing at home (Bramall Lane), kick-off at 3pm. Traffic will be at its heaviest in the build up to kick-off and post-match.
There will be road closures in place around Bramall Lane. Bramall Lane will be closed between 2.15pm - 3.10pm & 4.30pm - 5.30pm. Randall Street and Harwood Street will be closed from 7am - 6pm.
Sunday 23 September - Sheffield 10K race
The Sheffield 10k run returns to the city on Sunday 23 September and a number of roads will be affected by closures on the day.
There will be road closures in place around Arundel Gate, Charter Row, Hanover Way, St Marys Gate and Ecclesall Road. Roads will be closed between 8.30am - 4pm.
Make sure you to plan your route before setting off and check road closure information.
Parking and Unloading
Parking onsite and around halls is limited. Please be considerate to other students arriving and move your vehicle as soon as possible to enable others to unload and check in. Halls staff will be on hand to direct you and help you find a car park.
