Easter Support Service

The University is closed from 5pm on Wednesday 8th April and will re-open at 9am on Wednesday 15th April. There are no student support appointments available during this time and staff will not be available to respond to any routine emails.
Out of hours support for IT enquiries is still available on 0114 225 3333 until midnight each day.
There are a number of online resources available to you over the University closure period, and a number of virtual activities that you can attend.
If there is an emergency, please refer to our security team.

Hallam Help - Student Support Adviser appointments (SSA)
Any extension requests submitted during this period will be processed as soon as the University re-opens and any extension requests related to COVID-19 will be accepted.
Please make use of self-serve information available through MyHallam: there are a lot of answers to questions and FAQs available via the portal, including extension/RESD requests.
If your query is not answered through MyHallam: please forward your email to email@example.com or use the MyHallam Portal to ask a question - you will be directed to the correct team when the University re-opens after Easter.

- If you are struggling to access food over the Easter period, you can contact with Hallam's muslim faith adviser Nuzrath via her Twitter account @NuzrathMowlana and she will be in touch to try and help support you.
- Applications for the Student Success Scholarship remain open for students that have not yet applied this academic year.

Over Easter there will be 24 hour support through Library Chat, and you can phone us 8am - 12pm everyday.
Digital Technology Services
Digital Technology Services have provided a handy guide to remote working which includes information on how to access your university files, how to use Zoom and further details about equipment and software.
We have some social events happening for you. Please see the IET social events programme.
We have a lot of social schemes detailed on our IET social events programme, including a new buddy programme which we have just launched, called Virtual Buddies.
We know that the uncertainty around Coronavirus can be unsettling and you may be finding that you have worries about the virus and how it might affect your life. This page includes some resources that might be helpful if you are finding the situation difficult or stressful. It also includes contact details for accessing support in a crisis. Chaplaincy is putting together a schedule of events, please join us after Easter for the following classes:

- Meditation on zoom
