I'm part of the #HallamInsiders team – a small group of students who share information via social media and the brand new #HallamInsiders blog. Our aim is to help you get more from uni life by giving you the inside view on what's happening on and off-campus – including events, offers, support and ways you can get involved in activities. We'll also share our own experiences with you, and we're there to help you out if you have any questions.
I got involved in the project last year and I’ve really enjoyed being part of the team. Being a #Hallaminsider gave me the opportunity of being part of lots of different celebrations and events. I’ve celebrated our victory against the University of Sheffield in the Varsity Ice Hockey Final, gotten to know local entrepreneurs at the Sheffield Hallam Christmas Market and welcomed new students during the Freebie Fair. These joyful moments have enhanced my university life and it’s truly been so wonderful getting to know people from all over the world.
I’ve also learnt more about Sheffield’s creative industry and enjoyed the music, art and the culture that surrounds us. I’ve even being able to explore the beautiful city and have uncovered some really great hidden cafes and hangout spots. Most importantly, I’ve been able to share my interests, my experience, my journey as a student at Sheffield Hallam University. I hope to continue updating you all on what’s happening around Hallam and Sheffield and I hope that my posts bring a smile to your face and help make your Sheffield Hallam journey memorable.
Take a look at the blog to find out more about who the @hallaminsiders are and to read our posts. We'll be updating it with new content all the time, so make sure you check back regularly. You can also follow our individual accounts or search #HallamInsiders on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to see our posts.
We are all students like you and all of us have so many different interests, so there is always something for everyone. It’s also a brilliant way of getting the very latest updates about stuff that's relevant to you.
