Sports facilities

Sheffield Hallam offers a comprehensive and expanding range of sport and fitness facilities.

Our partnerships offer students unique opportunities to gain the experience they need to succeed in the sports industry. That's why we produce some of the most employable sport graduates in the UK.

  • City Campus facilities

    The University has excellent sports facilities located at its City Campus. Hallam Active Gym open, Monday - Friday 6.30am - 10.30pm and aturday - Sunday 10.30am - 6.00pm

  • Collegiate Campus facilities

    The University has excellent sports facilities located at its Collegiate Campus, just off Ecclesall Road (A625), about a mile from the city centre. Hallam Active Gym open, Monday - Friday 6.30am - 10.30pm and Saturday - Sunday 9.00am - 7.00pm

  • Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park

    Our sports park on Bawtry Road is open to any student with an interest in sport. The £6 million development has international-standard football and rugby pitches with floodlights, along with artificial 3G pitches.

  • External facilities

    Useful links and information about the wide range of external venues that are used to service a variety of sports for training, matches or recreational use at Sheffield Hallam.

  • English Institute of Sport

    EIS Sheffield is a £20 million state of the art sports facility, providing sport-specific training facilities for athletics, netball, badminton, judo, boxing and basketball. As well as our students, it's home to Jessica Ennis and many of Team GB's other top athletes.

  • Athletics stadium

    Opening times and prices for Sheffield Hallam University's City Athletics Stadium on Woodbourn Road.

  • Physiotherapy clinic

    Our physiotherapy clinic is open to students, staff and the general public at competitive rates. The clinic is run by the physiotherapy team in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, which comprises of experienced, qualified physiotherapists, and musculoskeletal and sports injury specialists.
