Welcome to Student Wellbeing
'Well-being - noun: the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy'
We can help you manage personal issues that might impact on your studies. We offer a range of options to support you during your time here.
Our services are confidential, delivered at both campuses and we have qualified practitioners from different backgrounds in case you have specific requirements. More information on our confidentiality policy can be found on shuspace.
Please note that we are not an emergency or crisis service. Details for emergencies and out-of-hours help can be found on our blog Need Help Now? page.
Services we offer
You can access a range of services including
- self-help materials - including online resources, books and leaflets
- wellbeing sessions - interactive group sessions focused on life skills and study skills
- appointment with a wellbeing practitioner
- faith advice - through the Multifaith Chaplaincy
Register with the service
If you're not sure about self-help or wellbeing sessions, or feel you might benefit from talking to a practitioner, you can register with us online via shuspace.
The online registration form will help us to identify the best type of support for you. Any information you provide will be treated confidentially and will only be available to the Student Wellbeing Team.
Once you have submitted the form, we will contact you to make you an offer of support, usually within a week of your enquiry. We can offer a range of different interventions based on what you have told us and what we feel is the most appropriate option at the time. The type of support may change once you have had contact with the service and there may be situations where we will not be able to offer you support directly but we can give you information about other ways in which you can get help.
