Extenuating Circumstances Support

If you are seeing a Student Wellbeing practitioner, you can talk to them about whether it is appropriate for us to provide a letter of support for your Extenuating Circumstances (EC) application. We are happy to provide this where the situation clearly warrants it but we will need a week’s notice.

If you simply need evidence of your appointments with us or if your practitioner is unable to provide a letter, you can view and print information about your previous and forthcoming appointments yourself. To do this, login to UniHub, select ‘Dashboard’ from the menu and then ‘Appointment Bookings’.

Please note, we cannot provide a letter of support for an EC application if you have not had contact with Student Wellbeing before. This also applies if you have not had contact with us for over six months and you are asking for evidence for any new issues that have arisen since then.

We can, however, offer you personal support to help you manage the difficulties that have led to your EC application. Please see MyHallam for more information and on how to register with us.
