Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey

What is the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)?

It is a UK-wide survey open to postgraduate taught students and made available through the Higher Education Academy (HEA). It takes the form of an online questionnaire and asks for your honest and considered feedback on your experience as a taught postgraduate student.

When does the survey happen?

The survey takes place every year, between March and June.

Why should I complete the survey?

This is an opportunity to tell us what you like about Sheffield Hallam and as things you feel could be improved. We use this feedback to improve the experience for taught postgraduate students, so your contribution is extremely valuable.

How to share your experience

You will receive an invitation by email when the survey opens. There is no generic website address for this survey.

Working together

In response to your feedback, the University invests in what matters to you and improves the areas you felt could be better. Find out how your voice makes a real difference.

This survey is delivered by Student Experience, Teaching and Learning. If you would like to know more please email setl@shu.ac.uk
