‘The lecturers take their time to give us individual help and guidance when we need it.

During my time at Sheffield Hallam, I have developed better time management skills as you have to plan and manage your assignments independently. I have also gained team working skills. The university has given me the tools I need to enter the job market after graduation.

The tutors, lecturers and the employability support team all try to listen to the student and try their best to accommodate that individual's needs.

I had heard a lot of good things about the city, it's close to the Peak District and it has been classed as one of the safest cities in the UK. It's not too big yet you have everything you need. The free airport pick-up and free taxi to the accommodation was good.

My top tip would be don't be shy. It's scary to come to a country with a different language and culture but try to challenge yourself. Because if you do you will build the confidence along the way. University is not only about getting the degree, if you utilise your time well you will gain friends and grow as a person.’
