Women’s football clubs in England face financial sustainability issues unless governance structures and league design change significantly, according to a new study by Sheffield Hallam University and University of Portsmouth.

Sheffield Hallam University has hosted two women in finance events for A-level students to encourage more females into the industry. More than 70 female-identifying students from schools and colleges around the region attended the events aimed at addressing deep-rooted gender imbalances in the finance industry.
