Managing and preserving research data is becoming increasingly important. The University recognises that it is a key component of good research practice and that it contributes to a culture of research excellence. Equally important is the sharing of data with other researchers and for the greater public good. In particular research data that are acquired with public funding should be made openly available with as few restrictions as possible.
Sheffield Hallam University has a dedicated research data management policy, a dedicated Research Data Archive and a website that guides researchers through the various aspects of planning, managing, preserving and sharing research data.
