Westfield Health champions health and wellbeing, both in the workplace and in the wider population. With the belief that prevention is better than cure, it recognises the difference that being physically active can have in terms of your physical and emotional wellbeing. Already recognised as one of the UK’s leading health insurers, Westfield Health is developing new healthcare products and services to push the boundaries in the field of workplace and population health and wellbeing. Continued investment in innovation and technology makes Westfield Health an ideal partner for the AWRC.
The company will be supporting the Centre financially and with in-kind contributions, helping to create ‘innovations that help people move’.
One of the expected benefits of the AWRC will be reduced dependency on the health service. We feel that the Centre shares our ethos and values with its focus on improving the wellbeing of the population.
By supporting this venture, we’ll be helping people to take charge of their own wellbeing while reducing some of the pressure on the NHS – at a time when the need to reduce demand on the service has never been greater.
We see our role as one of taking the AWRC learnings and technologies, and disseminating them on a commercial scale, both nationally and globally.
Through this we will help to bring innovative, yet scalable and relevant products and services to the general populous. Not only will this improve the quality of people’s lives, but will ultimately have a positive economic benefit to businesses across the globe who are already suffering from the effects of unhealthy workforces.
