Becky Shaw's 'Half-Buried' commissioned for the show 'Monument: Aftermath of War and Conflict'

Date: From Friday 13 June 2014 to Saturday 02 August 2014
Time: 11.00 PM to 11.00 PM
Venue: Undercroft and Sainsbury Centre, Norwich

The exhibition in the Undercroft contains a number of participatory and interactive elements. Becky Shaw will create works interactively, working with the space to create new monuments out of old, using colonial aspects of the Sainsbury Centre’s world art collection as a starting point.

Monument will also see the four institutions collaborating on a diverse events programme which includes conferences, events, publications, artistic performances and residencies, between February and December 2014.

The full programme of exhibitions, publications, performances and artistic residencies has been created in partnership between the Sainsbury Centre, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Calais and the FRAC (Le Fonds régional d’art contemporain Basse Normandie) in Caen as part of TAP (Time and Place), selected under the EU Interreg IV A France (Channel) – England cross-border co-operation programme.
