Postgraduate Study in CCRC

The Communication and computing Research Centre (CCRC) provides a lively environment that actively supports and encourages postgraduate study. Students on both our MA and research degree programmes benefit from working in a friendly research community where a diverse range of projects across a wide spectrum of interests provide a stimulating background for research to thrive.

As part of our commitment to supporting research, an extensive range of facilities is available to CCRC postgraduate students.

Research degrees

You may study within the CCRC for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil). Visitors interested in our MA programmes of taught courses should visit the MA pages.

We support a wide range of projects including interdisciplinary collaborations within and beyond our faculty. The main factor to be considered is ensuring that your proposed topic is one that relates to the expertise and experience within the research centre, so it is important to engage in discussion about this at an early stage when considering postgraduate study.

You can contact our support team at pgradmin@shu.ac.uk or call +44(0)114 225 6743 for an informal chat with Amy Lander (Administrator).
