Background

Louis achieved his BSc in Computer Information Technology From university of Derby and awarded his MSc IT from Sheffield Hallam University in2010. During his undergraduate and postgraduate studies he developed interest in technologies to support learning.

For his MSc dissertation, he conducted an investigation in the appropriateness of virtual worlds for education. Following this investigation, he decided to enrol on a PhD course to investigate how the use of virtual worlds can be used to support learning.

Under the supervision of Dr Martin Beer and Dr Elizabeth Uruchurtu, Louis developed a sound understanding of the use of technology in education, its implications, promises and concerns and he is working hard to complete his PhD thesis.

Louis research interest includes MUVE’s, Virtual Worlds, CVE, E-Learning and Technology Enhanced Learning.

He has published an article in the IEEE TCLT (2011) and has presented his research in several conferences.
