Speaker: Dr Alex Stedmon (Reader in Human Factors – Sheffield Hallam University)

Alex is a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, Fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.  His current work explores human factors issues of human behaviour and technology use in transport and security applications.  However, he has also conducted work and published papers on AR/VR applications, speech interfaces, older workers and human factors issues of sustainability.

Title: A Human Factors Mashup of Transport & Security Research

This seminar will cover a number of areas of recent research including motorcycle simulation, rider behaviour, CCTV for traffic enforcement, novel counter-terrorism research and advanced geospatial information services for military mapping products.
