C3RI secures security contract

Tuesday 14 August 2012

Dr David Day and C3RI have won a major contract with a leading internet shopping company. A Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) will detect and monitor attempts to IT system breaches. Unlike firewalls, which only examine a small fraction of traffic, NIDS inspect it entirely alerting the administrator allowing them to take action to prevent future related attacks. This will add an additional level of security to the company’s already strong security defences. Both large and small companies can benefit from this approach if security is of paramount importance.

If you would like to know more about NIDS and how it may be of benefit to your organisation, please contact Dr David Day, or Shirley Lindley, Knowledge Transfer Manager for C3RI.
