Aims

The project aims to examine older people's beliefs and values which may influence their health-affecting choices regarding keeping warm at home, and the development of a package of social marketing products that PCTs can adopt to promote keeping warm at home in later life that is informed by the lay epidemiology identified.

Impact

Findings have been extensively disseminated to academic, NHS and related partners. Evidence has been submitted to four national consultations. Social media marketing products include pen portraits of six people illustrating factors influencing ability to keep warm, a DVD for staff and general public awareness raising and e-learning materials.
