Get expert advice and treatment with our Universal Wellbeing facility at Sheffield Hallam University. The team offers a number of services including Physiotherapy, Ergonomics and Vocational Rehabilitation, all of which are available to everyone.
The Universal Wellbeing team is made up of highly skilled and experienced physiotherapists working in the physiotherapy clinics at the university, who provide physiotherapy assessments for an array of musculoskeletal disorders. The team of specialist physiotherapists are highly skilled to provide assessment and diagnosis of an array of musculoskeletal disorders including back pain, postural dysfunctions and sports injuries. Treatment options will vary depending on diagnosis. They are extremely committed to delivering an individualised service to all clients and offer advice or treatment that may include manual therapy, exercise and rehabilitation, postural education, acupuncture, massage or sport specific rehabilitation.
The physiotherapy clinic at Collegiate Crescent Campus is well established and is ideally located within the facilities of Sheffield Hallam Active. This allows the team to access a wide range of facilities that can benefit rehabilitation. The City clinic has recently moved into new facilities on Pond Street, and due to demand is developing rapidly. Access to the physiotherapy clinic is by self-referral, and appointments can be made by phone or e-mail.
In addition to physiotherapy, we offer an Ergonomics Service. The Ergonomists are specialists in providing workplace assessments, in both sedentary and active work environments. They aim to identify any issues that may contribute to musculoskeletal disorders, and hence impact upon an individual’s ability to fulfil their role at work. Following assessment, recommendations may be made to address any identified issues. Please contact us for further information on this service.
