The Physical Activity, Wellness and Public Health Research Group (PAWPH) boasts one of the largest physical activity and wellbeing portfolios and research expertise in the UK. It is led by Dr. Anouska Carter.
We pride ourselves on the applied nature of our work. Our research and consultancy portfolio covers physical activity and health, applied to a range of disease conditions including MSK, diabetes, muscular sclerosis, obesity, CHD, cancer and mental health. We work in contexts including the NHS, the workplace and community settings.
The group comprises research students and staff, and includes experts from across the physical activity/exercise science/medicine disciplines. This provides the potential for an interdisciplinary approach for addressing physical activity and health issues.
