SIRC research published by Sport Wales

New research carried out by SIRC, which measures the contribution of sport to health, crime, education and wellbeing, has been published by Sport Wales.
The report shows that the value of health through participation in sport in £295 million per annum. This value is generated from reduced risks associated with CHD and stroke, breast and colon cancer, Type 2 diabetes and dementia. It is also generated from improved good health, which leads to reduced GP visits.
