Data analysis using geographic information systems (GIS)
We have five years' experience in producing GIS data for organisations in the sport industry. We've plotted membership databases, facility user surveys and event impact assessments based on respondent home postcodes. We've also plotted sports facility distribution and walking distance catchment by working in partnership with local government clients to map sites in their asset management databases.
The production of accurate, high-quality data – known as data capture – is fundamental to successful analysis using GIS. Here at SIRC, we follow industry-standard procedures to ensure that the GIS data we use in our analysis represents what our clients feel is the real-world situation.
